Adriana Lacy — Founder

Adriana Lacy is a senior associate for audience and growth at Axios and an adjunct lecturer in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California. Previously, she was on the audience team at the New York Times. She’s a 2018 graduate from the Pennsylvania State University, where she founded served as editor in chief of The Underground, a multicultural student media site. In her free time, she’s trying to learn how to code and figure out how to survive in the wild west.

Caitlin Ostroff — Co-founder, Media Mentors

Caitlin Ostroff is a reporter for the Wall Street Journal where she uses words, numbers and code to cover the world of finance. Previously, she was a data reporter for McClatchy DC and the Miami Herald. She’s a 2018 graduate of the University of Florida, where she spent most of her time working for the independent, student-run newspaper The Alligator. In her last semester there, she helped launch Save Student Newsrooms, an advocacy campaign to educate people about challenges facing student news, such as finances and censorship. Caitlin is also a proud Hufflepuff.

Ashlee Korlach — Social Media Editor

Ashlee Korlach is a digital engagement assistant at the Washington Examiner in Washington, D.C., where she manages the homepage and optimizes SEO. Previously, she interned at the Boston Globe and Philadelphia Inquirer as a copy editor. She’s a 2019 graduate of the University of Richmond, where she studied journalism and was editor-in-chief of the student paper, The Collegian. She’s also technically a Sagittarius but identifies more as a Capricorn.

Lily Smith — Graphic Designer

Lily Smith is a staff photojournalist with the Omaha World-Herald in Omaha, NE. She is a proud native of Des Moines, IA. She is a 2020 graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in journalism and mass communications as well as a certificate in writing. Lily has previously worked at The Daily Iowan and with the University of Iowa Athletics Department. Lily spends a majority of her free time reading about popular culture and hanging out with her cat, Jelly.

Elizabeth Koh — Database Editor

Elizabeth Koh is a Seoul-based reporter for the Wall Street Journal, currently covering Samsung and global technology. Before joining the Journal, she covered state and national politics in the United States — most recently in Florida where she was a state government reporter for the Miami Herald and the Tampa Bay Times. She is a database editor for the Media Mentors program.

Julia Lin – Social Media Editor

Julia Lin is a student at the University of Southern California majoring in journalism. She is the social media director for The Daily Trojan and is involved in other student organizations including the Prison Education Project, the Asian American Journalists Association, and SC Outfitters. She is originally from Seattle, Washington, and is currently learning American Sign Language in her free time.

Amy Morona — Newsletter Editor

Newsletter EditorAmy Morona is a reporter/producer at Newsy. She arrived there after more than two years as a producer with "Washington Week,” the weekly reporters' roundtable show on PBS. Prior to that, the Emerson College graduate was a statewide public media education reporter at ideastream in Ohio and a digital projects producer at Cleveland's NBC affiliate WKYC. In her spare time, Amy enjoys exploring Washington, D.C., with her husband, cheering on Cleveland sports teams, and spending way too much time watching Bravo.

Gillian McGoldrick is the state and federal government reporter at LNP|LancasterOnline in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Molly Stier —Community Manager

Molly Stier is an audience editor at Quartz. Previously, she was the social media editor at The Daily Dot and a fact-checker at The Nation. She is a 2016 graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, where she co-founded the university's first digitally native news site. She lives in Austin, Texas with her partner Michael and her dachshund Frankie.
